My research and consultancy activities as a member of the Centre for Research in the Built Environment (CRiBE) over the last 20 years have provided experience of monitoring and testing the performance of buildings and their impact on the environment. Projects have included energy monitoring, internal thermal comfort and air quality assessment, water use studies, ventilation performance and the testing of individual building elements and systems. As operational manager for the Environmental Laboratory, I was involved in physical scale modelling using the sky dome and wind tunnel facility to assess ventilation, use of daylight, and the environments created around buildings.

As Commercial Manager of CRiBE my role is to provide a business-focused approach to the research and consultancy services carried out by the Centre, and match the Centre’s expertise with solutions for its clients. Also to initiate new proposals and agreements with clients to carry out research and consultancy work, and support the other staff at the centre in their consultancy activities.

I am also an accredited BREEAM for Offices and EcoHomes assessor.
